Baltimore City Mayor Kurt Schmoke visited the Homewood campus recently to offer Hopkins students, most of whom are from out of town, a chance to get to know their mayor. Schmoke talked with students about the relationship between the city and the university, including the efforts being made by both to increase the quality of life in Charles Village. He also discussed his views on the legalization of drugs and his own experiences as a student at Harvard, Oxford, and Yale Law School. The talk was sponsored by the JHU College Democrats.
