WJHU Radio Holiday Notes


     WJHU-FM (88.1) celebrates the holiday season with special
programs in December:

Monday, Dec. 18
2 p.m.--The Chanukah Story, featuring a cappella sextet The
Western Wind.


Tuesday, Dec. 19
2 p.m.--"Chanukah Lights," National Public Radio's Susan Stamberg
and Murray Horwitz share Jewish holiday readings.


Wednesday, Dec. 20
2 p.m.--"A Christmas Carol" with improvisational comedian
Jonathan Winters and actress Mimi Kennedy.


Thursday, Dec. 21
2 p.m.--"Seasonings: A Season Celebration," with author and
culinary anthropologist Vertamae Grosvenor.


Friday, Dec. 22
2 p.m.--Christmas with the comedy troupe Imagination Workshop:
songs and new episodes from their serials.

     WJHU-FM will present several programs on Christmas Day.
Christine Sweet will read holiday favorites at 2 p.m.; Andy
Bienstock's "Christmas Present" will air at 8:30 p.m. Mel Torme
will present "Jazz Piano Christmas 4" at 10 p.m., followed by
"Jazz Piano Christmas 6" with Bill Cosby at 11 p.m.
