Getaways Highlight 1995 Lottery

     The United Way Campaign Lottery Drawing for 1995 will be
held on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The theme for this year's campaign is
"Paint a Brighter Tomorrow."

     The United Way of Central Maryland's lottery is open to all
university faculty and staff, with the exception of staff at the
Applied Physics Laboratory. APL runs a separate campaign. 

     To be eligible, faculty and staff must pledge $35 or more to
Hopkins' campaign. They must complete a pledge card and return it
by Tuesday, Oct. 31, in the self-addressed envelope provided.

*    Two-night (weekend) stay for two in the Cheetah Suite of the
Inn at the Colonnade; includes two tickets to the National
Aquarium and two tickets to the Baltimore Museum of Art.

*    One-night stay for two at the Stouffer Renaissance
Harborplace Hotel and dinner for two at Windows Restaurant.

*    Dinner for two at Brighton's in the Harbor Court Hotel.

*    Dinner for two at Peabody's Grill in the Latham Hotel.

*    Dinner for two at Benny's.

*    Lunch for two at Cafe Diana, 33rd and Charles.

*    Dinner and a show for one at the Towson Dinner Theatre.

*    A pair of tickets for a performance by the Alvin Ailey
Repertory Ensemble dance performance.

*    Two tickets to a Makem Brothers concert.

*    Hardbound edition of "Maryland: A Middle Temperament,
1634-1980" by Robert J. Brugger.

*    Hardbound edition of "Birds of the Chesapeake Bay,"
paintings by John W. Taylor.

*    Six tickets to the Walters Art Gallery.

*    $50 gift certificate from florist George W. Radebaugh &
Sons, Inc.

*    Six tickets to the Senator Theater.

     The lottery drawing is public. Entrants are not required to
be present to win. Winners will be notified by the United Way
administrator.
