Bed lofting is a great option for residents living in Wolman, McCoy, Charles Commons, AMR I & II and Buildings A&B to create more room space (beds in Bradford and Homewood can not be lofted). Beds can be quarter, half or fully lofted except for Charles Commons which can only be quarter lofted.
A full loft can accommodate four stacked drawers, a wardrobe, a desk, or a combination of any two underneath the lofted bed. In a quarter or half loft, two columns of two stacked drawers can be placed underneath. Residents who choose not to loft their bed can still request to have their drawers stacked. Loftings are only done at the beginning of each semester and need to be requested in person at either facilities office located in Wolman 101 or AMR1 Housing.
Lofting request forms are accepted in the first weeks of the Fall and Spring Semester. Bring your completed form to Wolman 101 or the AMR Housing Office to schedule a lofting appointment.
