Getting to SHRIVER HALL

Shriver Hall is at the south end of the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus, behind the Baltimore Museum of Art. The closest landmark is the Museum, at 10 Art Museum Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218.

PARKING FOR SHRIVER HALL

Parking for Shriver Hall events is in the South Garage, 3101 Wyman Park Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218. The entrance is opposite and just north of the Wyman Park Building. The garage is beneath the Decker Quadrangle (formerly Garland Field). Once in the garage, follow the signs to Shriver Hall. The north elevator takes you up to street level within 50 feet of the Hall.

Weekend event parking costs $8, payable by cash or credit card.

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped parking is in the South Garage, at the regular $6 fee. When you take the elevator up to street level, signs will point you to the right to Shriver Hall’s west handicapped entrance.

Patrons may also be dropped off near the east handicapped entrance, which is reached from the driveway behind Shriver Hall. To get to Shriver Hall, do not go to the garage. Instead, enter the University’s South Gate from Wyman Park Drive, just west of the traffic light at Art Museum Drive. Once in the brick driveway, take your first right turn. Shriver is the first building on your left. Continue about 100 feet past the building. A sidewalk cut-out on the left has a path to the east handicapped door. A very few metered handicapped spaces are in the driveway behind each of the handicapped entrances.

ROAD DIRECTIONS TO SHRIVER HALL

From I-95 (southbound) or from I-695 (Baltimore Beltway):

A block later, Charles Street splits; take the right fork. About five blocks later, get into the right lane to cross University Parkway. Jog slightly to the right to continue southbound on the service road. The Homewood Campus will be on your right. After you pass the campus, turn right at the traffic light onto Art Museum Drive. Just after the Museum, turn right at the light onto Wyman Park Drive. Continue for a few hundred feet, just past the Wyman Park Building (on your left). Entering Baltimore, the parkway becomes Russell Street. Stay on Russell Street past the Baltimore Ravens stadium (on your right). Just after the stadium, and before you reach the traffic light at West Hamburg St. and Oriole Park at Camden Yards, bear off to the right onto the poorly marked exit to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. You will be briefly on a service road parallel to Russell Street. Stay to the left and take the ramp onto Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Follow the directions (below) from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

From Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Boulevard:
Take MLK Boulevard north, staying in one of the middle lanes to avoid a premature forced left or right turn. When MLK Boulevard ends at North Howard Street, turn left onto North Howard Street and continue for about 1.7 miles. Cross 29th Street. Get into the left lane. At the next light (just before the Baltimore Museum of Art), turn left onto Wyman Park Drive. Continue for a few hundred feet, just past the Wyman Park Building (on your left).
