A new twist on an old tradition: This year, the Homewood
schools' class banner was designed in an online
competition, with entries by 63 members of the incoming
Class of 2012. The winner of the 300 votes cast was
Sevdalina Petko. Following Convocation on August 31, the
freshman paraded her winning design from Shriver Hall to
the Milton S. Eisenhower Library, where it's now on
display. Joining her was Provost Kristina M. Johnson.
