Giving a Portrait Miniaturist Her Due.
Jamie Franco, a graduating senior, has written a paper that argues the 16th century portrait
miniaturist Levina Teerlinc has been unfairly treated by modern scholars, and that at least several
miniatures previously attributed to a male painter really were painted by Teerlinc.
She recently sat down to talk about the project.
Listen as she describes how she got interested in Teerlinc and how she tracked down her
research. You'll need the Real Player plug
in to watch
this. If you don't have one, see the note in the box below.
Read the Hopkins Gazette article about her research.
You'll need a RealPlayer to watch or listen to
and video presentations. RealPlayer8 Basic is available for free here.
If you have any problems viewing these presentations or
downloading the RealPlayer, please contact Glenn Small at,
