University-wide Commencement Speaker: Dr. William R. Brody, President, The Johns Hopkins University Caps and gowns are mandatory. No tickets are required for guests.	Thursday, May 23 9:15 a.m. Garland Field Tent Homewood Campus Rain or Shine	President of the University confers all degrees in all divisions. Doctoral recipients from all divisions receive their diplomas on stage. M.D.'s are called to the stage individually, but diplomas are presented at the School of Medicine's Diploma Award Ceremony. The Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Master's Diploma Award Ceremony Speaker: Dr. Bernard A. Schwetz, Senior Research Scientist, Food and Drug Administration Caps and Gowns are not required. No tickets are required for guests.	Thursday, May 23 6:30 p.m. Shriver Hall Homewood Campus Reception in the Levering Union Glass Pavilion immediately following the ceremony	Master's degree recipients from the School of Arts and Sciences full- and part-time programs receive their diplomas on stage. The Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and The G.W.C Whiting School of Engineering Undergraduate Diploma Award Ceremony Speaker: Tom Brokaw, NBC Nightly News Anchor and Managing Editor Caps and gowns are mandatory. Tickets are required for guests. The G.W.C. Whiting School of Engineering Master's Diploma Award Ceremony Speaker: F. Suzanne Jenniches, Northrop Grumman Corporation Vice President for Communication and Electronic Systems Caps and gowns are not required No tickets are required for guests.	Wednesday, May 22 7 p.m. Garland Field Tent Homewood Campus Rain or Shine Reception immediately following the ceremony. The School of Professional Studies in Business and Education (SPSBE) Undergraduate and Graduate Diploma Award Ceremony (except Ed.D.s) Speaker: Cornelius J. "Neil" Behan, former Baltimore County Chief of Police and New York City Chief of Patrol Caps and gowns are mandatory for Bachelors, optional for Masters. No tickets are required for guests. NOTES (a) Initial announcements concerning the appropriate diploma ceremonies were mailed to candidates in early March. This included information on how to order caps and gowns and graduation announcements. (Deadline: April 5; late-comers may order through April 12 with a late payment of $10. Orders arriving after April 12 will be returned to sender.) Candidates who indicate they will attend the ceremonies will be sent information about reporting times and locations the first week in May. (b) Any Homewood division diplomas not picked up at one of the above ceremonies (and not requested to be mailed) will be available for pickup at the Homewood Registrar's Office between the hours of 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. beginning Friday, May 24 through Friday, May 31. Diplomas not called for by Friday, May 31 will be mailed to the student's address of record beginning in early June. (Diplomas for students who have requested mailing will be sent on Thursday, May 23.) Doctoral Diplomas for non-Homewood students which are not presented at the University-wide ceremony will be forwarded to the divisional Registrars Offices for disposition.
