Ponemone to Give Gallery Talk at Evergreen Exhibition

Scott Ponemone, a Baltimore artist whose work is on exhibition in Scott Ponemone's Baltimore: The Interplay of Art and Architecture at Evergreen House, will give a gallery talk at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, at Evergreen House, 4545 N. Charles Street.

Ponemone spent a year and a half sketching at 11 historic sites and four private sites in the Baltimore area, including Evergreen, Homewood House, Hampton Mansion, Mount Clare, Clifton, the Lloyd Street Synagogue, First Unitarian Church, Grace and St. Peter's Church, St. Mary's Seminary chapel, Zion Lutheran Church, and the Maryland Historical Society's Pratt House. Then, in his studio, Ponemone turned his sketches into vivid watercolor paintings of each site that combined the architectural elements of the buildings with details of the decorative arts inside. He will bring his sketch books and discuss the process he went through combining sketches into finished paintings.

Admission to the gallery talk is $8 for Evergreen and Homewood members and $10 for non-members. To make reservations call 410-516-0341. Scott Ponemone's Baltimore: The Interplay of Art and Architecture will continue through September 16.
