Spanish Poetry and Music at Hopkins
Nancy Hirsche, narrator, reader, and singer will recite and give insight into selections of Lorca's poetry. Hirsche became interested in the music and culture of Spain when she spent time in that country, coaching Spanish repertoire with a pianist on the island of Mallorca.
Marija Temo accompanies Lorca's poems on her guitar, and as soloist, sings and plays flamenco music. Together, Hirsche and Temo lend the flavor of Spain to the audience through poetry, song and guitar.
