Poet Mark Strand to Read at HopkinsStrand, a former United States poet laureate and a recipient of a MacArthur Foundation "genius grant," is the Elliott Coleman Professor of Poetry in the Writing Seminars of Johns Hopkins University. Author of of nine collections of poetry, his most recent being Dark Harbor, Strand has also written three children's books, a novel and several books about art. This program is part of the Wednesday Noon Series, presented by the Johns Hopkins University's Office of Special Events. All programs are held at noon in the Clipper Room of Shriver Hall at the university's Homewood campus. Admission is free. For information, call the Office of Special Events at (410) 516-7157.
