Re: Civil War Lecture Series

"The Civil War: Seven Months in 1862," an eight-part series offered by Johns Hopkins University's non-credit Odyssey Program, examines the pivotal decisions and major battles from February to September 1862 that shaped the American Civil War.

Authors such as Steven H. Newton and Richard Dinardo, as well as historians such as Ted Alexander, chief historian of the Antietam National Battlefield Park, will provide insight into the critical seven month period of the Civil War, covering the triumph of the Union in the Peninsula Campaign to the battle at Antietam, where the bloodiest day of the war took place.

These interesting evening session classes run from Monday, March 3 through Monday, April 21 and each class is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles Street. The cost is $162 for all eight classes. For more information or to sign up, please call 410-516-4842 or visit www.odyssey.jhu.edu.
