Commencement Information and Schedule
This year's Johns Hopkins University commencement ceremony will be something new. A single ceremony -- for all graduates from all divisions and all campuses -- will take place on Homewood Field on Thursday, May 27, 2010, rain or shine. Procession begins at 8:40 a.m. Tickets are not required for admission.
In particular this will represent a change for graduating seniors in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and in the Whiting School of Engineering. No longer will they be asked to attend two ceremonies in one day -- the first where their degrees are officially conferred and the second to distribute their diplomas -- as the procedures have been streamlined and combined into the new unified university-wide event.

Inclement Weather:
The ceremony will be held rain or shine. Guests should dress appropriately for the weather conditions; this includes rain and sun/heat. Parking:
The influx of guests to campus, combined with morning rush-hour traffic, will create congestion around the Homewood campus. Guests are urged to allow extra time to reach campus. Parking on campus is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, please consider carpooling. Guests who will be staying in the city are encouraged to take a taxi cab.
The former Zurich parking garage, located on Keswick and 37th Street will have a free shuttle that will run every 5 minutes starting at 7am. This garage is available for parking/shuttle service only on Thursday, May 27 between 7am and 4pm.

A limited number of handicapped parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the Lacrosse Hall of Fame parking lot entered from W. University Parkway. A state issued handicapped hangtag or license plate is required.
