Volunteers Sought for Renovation Project

Hopkins volunteers are needed to help renovate the
Martin Luther King Recreation Center at Franklin Square in
Baltimore on Saturday, Oct. 22. The daylong project will
include painting, mulching and boarding up vacant buildings.
Hopkins volunteers will work with other Maryland corporate
teams as part of the fourth annual Make a Difference Day, a
national service day sponsored by The Points of Light
Foundation and USA Weekend.
The Martin Luther King Recreation Center was established
by the Franklin Square Community Association to provide
recreational and educational programs to children in the
community. It is also a meeting place for community-sponsored
events. The center is soliciting donations of children's
books, games, and arts and crafts supplies.
For further information, contact Julie Snyder in the
Office of Faculty, Staff and Retiree Programs at 516-6060.
