FUNDRAISER FOR EXCHANGE PROGRAM SET

Members of the Hopkins community are invited to attend
"Celebration of Achievement," an awards ceremony, concert and
dinner starting at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11, at the
Peabody Institute.
The event will raise funds for the Hopkins-Weizmann
Exchange Program, which enables faculty from Hopkins and the
Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, to
collaborate. Weizmann scientist Mario Bachi is currently
working with chemistry professor Gary Posner at Homewood. The
exchange endowment was established by Eugene Zemsky, an
alumnus of the class of 1953, and his wife, Delores.
The evening will be hosted by actor Tony Randall, and
will feature a performance by Yael Weiss, an Israeli master's
degree candidate in piano at the Peabody Institute.
University president William C. Richardson will be the guest
of honor. Tickets for two, which include supper and dessert,
are $500.
For more information, call Linda Blumenthal at the
Baltimore Office of the American Committee for the Weizmann
Institute of Science at 363-8803.
