School of Medicine Recognizes Staff Anniversaries

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

On March 29, 377 men and women from the School of Medicine were honored at a reception celebrating their five-, 10- or 15-year anniversaries at Johns Hopkins. The group gathered at the 22nd annual Staff Recognition Reception, held in the Turner Building, represented a total of 3,140 years of service to the university.

Following remarks by Edward Miller, CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine and dean of the medical faculty--who was celebrating his own fifth anniversary--attendees were presented with awards: pewter key rings for five years of service, paperweights for 10 and Regency clocks for 15. Staff celebrating 20, 25, 30, 35 and more years will be invited to a dinner in June.

Audrey Smith, vice president for human resources, congratulates Dean Edward Miller on his fifth anniversary.
