Bunting-Blaustein Building Dedicated
|
|
With an appropriately high-tech "ribbon
cutting"--participants used remote control switches to set off a
light show--the Bunting-Blaustein Building, Hopkins' cutting-edge
cancer research facility, was dedicated on Dec. 6. The keynote
address was given by Richard Klausner, director of the National
Cancer Institute. Other notables on hand included both outgoing
Mayor Kurt Schmoke and the incumbent, Martin O'Malley (right),
who took over the helm of Baltimore City government the next
day.
