JHFCU Annual Meeting -- The annual meeting for the Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union will be held Tues., May 8, beginning at 5:15 p.m. in the Glass Pavilion on the Homewood campus. Members can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and visit credit union information tables. The evening includes a brief business meeting for the nomination of candidates for the board of directors and a vote. Attention Juniors and Sophomores -- The Honors Program in Humanistic Studies is looking for humanities majors interested in pursuing an individual interdisciplinary project starting fall 2001. The program offers well-qualified undergraduates with high GPAs an opportunity to do independent research in their junior and/or senior years. Students who complete the program and whose final essays are accepted by the Honors Board will be awarded honors at graduation. Students who enroll in the program in their junior year may also apply to the department's concurrent B.A./M.A. program at the beginning of their senior year. The Honors Program will hold an informational meeting on Friday, April 27, at 4 p.m. in 111 Gilman on the Homewood campus. Weight Watchers at Work -- The Department of Occupational Health Services and the Office of Benefits Administration are offering a "Weight Watchers at Work" program to JHU faculty and staff. The sessions will take place Tuesdays, from noon to 1 p.m. or from 1 to 2 p.m., beginning May 1 and continuing through July 3. Cost is $90 for the 10-week session.
