JHU employees who take summer courses receive 100 percent tuition remission. Children and spouses receive 50 percent tuition remission. (For information on tuition remission, call 410-516-6810.) Among those classes that may be of particular interest to faculty and staff and their families are the following:
The first term's introductory course covers the basics of camera operation and gives students an opportunity to work on a chosen project. The second term offers a darkroom course concentrating on developing and printing black and white film. Students will produce a portfolio of 10 mounted photographs. Both courses require a 35mm camera with adjustable aperture and shutter speed. Class size is limited.
Intensive German for Business Purposes will be held May 28 to June 28, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6 to 8:30 p.m.
