Programs. Nell Kussian of the American Refugee
Committee submitted the photograph.
INFO, which stands for Information and Knowledge for
Optimal Health, is a reproductive-health knowledge-sharing
resource supported by the U.S. Agency for International
Development. Its Photoshare is a unique resource for
nonprofits to use photos in communicating health and
development issues. INFO's archive, available exclusively
for educational and nonprofit purposes, contains thousands
of photos that capture urban and rural life in developing
countries as well as global efforts to improve health and
save lives.
The photo contest, open to both amateurs and
professionals, drew 300 submissions shot in 30 countries.
