Office Hours for Vice President for Human Resources
-- Audrey Smith, vice president for human
resources, will hold open office hours during the month
of June at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, room 512, 1830
Building, on the East Baltimore campus, and at 1 p.m. on
Thursday, June 19, at Johns Hopkins@Eastern, room C120.
These will be the last sessions until further notice.
Office Closing -- The East Baltimore campus Parking
and ID Office will be closed June 27, for SOM housestaff
orientation and registration. MTA passes will be available
for pickup on this day, but no other services will be
available.
Office Relocation -- The Office of Equal Opportunity
and Affirmative Action Programs has relocated. It is now
located in Suite 130, Garland Hall, on the Homewood
campus.
Reception for International Society -- International
visitors to the university and all other Johns Hopkins
affiliates are invited to attend a welcoming reception from
4 to 6 p.m., on Wednesday, July 2, in Reed Hall in East

Launch of "Meatless Monday" Campaign -- The
Center for a
Livable Future is launching its "Meatless Monday"
health campaign on June 9, at noon, in the Wolfe St. Cafe,
located on the 9th floor of the Bloomberg School of Public
Health. The campaign aims to cut Americans' consumption of
saturated fat found mainly in meat and high-fat dairy
products, and calls for eliminating meat from meals one day
per week to give consumers an opportunity to explore
dietary alternatives.
Overeaters Anonymous Meetings -- These meetings are
open to anyone who has problems with eating too much,
starving or bulimia. No dues or fees are required. The
group meets at noon on Wednesdays in 161 Mattin Center. For

Center for a Livable Future Request for Proposals --
The Center for
a Livable Future's Innovation Grants support
interdisciplinary study and collaborative projects by JHU
faculty, fellows and graduate students. Eight to 10 awards
of $10,000 to $20,000 are available this year for one year
of funding support. Preference will be given to first-time
applicants. Applications are due this year by July 15, and
funding will begin on Sept. 15. For more information,
