Materials Management -- The Hazardous Materials
Accumulation room in Macaulay Hall will be closed July 3.
Users are advised not to transport hazardous materials to
the accumulation room and to make all necessary
preparations to ensure appropriate hazardous materials
storage from June 27 to July 9. Regular operations will
resume July 10. Regular hours for hazardous materials
receiving are Thursdays, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2
p.m.

Reception for
International Society -- International visitors to the
university and all other Johns Hopkins affiliates are
invited to attend a welcoming reception from 4 to 6 p.m.,

Grant Writing
Workshop -- The Professional Development Office is
sponsoring a grant writing workshop Aug. 14 and 15. The
workshop is designed to assist junior faculty with writing
NIH and other peer-reviewed proposals. Wendy Sanders will
conduct the workshop.

7th Annual 2003
Fellows Course on Infectious Diseases and Introductory
Epidemiology -- The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions
is offering the 2003 Fellows Course on Infectious Diseases
and Introductory Epidemiology, in conjunction with the
University of Maryland, the University of Pennsylvania and
the University of Virginia.
The course is recommended for physicians and other
health care providers including Infectious Diseases,
Pulmonary, and Critical Care fellows, residents and other
practitioners interested in health care-acquired infections
and antimicrobial resistance.
Individuals will spend three days with faculty from
various specialties for introductory infection control
training. Participants should be available from 8 a.m. to 5
p.m. each day, July 8 to July 10.
