![]() Bobby McFerrin came to Peabody on April 21 to conduct the Conductor's Orchestra, a working ensemble formed for Maestro Gustav Meier's conducting class. In addition to taking the podium himself, McFerrin stayed to observe student conductors in action. In 2002, McFerrin was the recipient of the George Peabody Medal for Outstanding Contribution to Music In America.
