Town Meeting for Animal Research
The Office of the Provost and the Animal Care and Use
Committee will host a town meeting for animal research from
9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Tilghman
Room, Turner Building, on the East Baltimore campus.
Key institutional officials will provide updates on
the current state and future directions of the university's
animal care program. Attendees will be invited to provide
feedback.

Red Cross Blood Drive
This year's final blood drive on the Homewood campus will
be held in the Glass Pavilion, Levering Hall, on Wednesday,
Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 18. Walk-ins are welcome, but
donors are urged to register online in order to save time
and increase productivity.
Gift certificates from area restaurants and business
will be raffled off to those who donate at the November

General Counsel in East Baltimore
The Office of the Vice President and General Counsel opens
today a satellite office on the East Baltimore campus. The

addition of this office will not affect attorneys'
assignments; clients should continue to work with their
regular lawyers.

School of Nursing Open House
For the first time, the School of Nursing will participate
in an open house at the Montgomery County Campus, 9601
Medical Center Dr. in Rockville, Md. The event is scheduled
from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Representatives
will be available to discuss nursing programs that
currently are offered in Baltimore.
The school seeks to gauge the interest of Montgomery
County and D.C. suburb residents in enrolling in these
programs either in Baltimore or closer to home. Programs of
interest include academic (baccalaureate, master's and
doctoral), certificate (Business of Nursing) and continuing

Holiday Drive
The Harriet Lane Primary Care Clinic's holiday drive is
seeking donations of food, clothing, toys and games to help
Harriet Lane families in need of assistance at the holiday

Overeaters Anonymous
Meetings for Overeaters Anonymous take place at noon on
Wednesdays in 161 Mattin Center, Homewood campus. The
meetings are open to all who may have overeating or
undereating problems and its effects. There are no dues or
