Homewood and Peabody Staff Honored for Service

Homewood and Peabody staff members with five, 10 and 15 years of service filled the Glass Pavilion at Homewood on Tuesday afternoon, May 11, when the university honored 345 individuals with recognition gifts and a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception.

Charlene Moore Hayes, vice president for human resources, and Jim McGill, senior vice president for finance and administration, personally thanked the assembled staff for their dedication, while the heads of each division presented honorees with service awards. Staff members with 15 years of service received a cherry wood clock; those with 10 years received a lead crystal paperweight; and those with five, a pewter key chain. All gifts were engraved with the Johns Hopkins seal or logo.

The event was one of several recognition receptions honoring staff throughout the university. Staff members celebrating milestone anniversaries of 20 years or more will be honored at a formal dinner on June 15.
