Sometimes, Engineering IS a Picnic
Chilly weather and the threat of rain didn't stop the
hundreds of Whiting School students, faculty, staff, family
and friends who gathered on Homewood's Lower Quad May 6
— the last official day of classes — to share
some good times over hamburgers, watermelon and other
picnic fare.
With the countdown to Commencement beginning, a
bluegrass band was on hand to provide some entertainment
before everyone returned to the reality of two weeks of
reading period and final exams.
