Now in mid-stride, the 2005 Johns Hopkins United Way campaign got a big boost when CIO and university campaign chair Stephanie Reel hosted a well-attended and successful Octoberfest fundraiser on Oct. 7 on the grounds of Hopkins at Eastern. Despite the inclement weather, hundreds of staff and faculty from East Baltimore to Mount Washington turned out for a Friday afternoon of food, fun and games. Features included a performance by the Sandtown Choir, raffles, a silent auction and a charity challenge — and very muddy — flag football match between the staffs of HopkinsOne and Information Technology.
