Health Awareness Day
All faculty and staff are invited to attend Health
Awareness Day, an educational and entertaining event
scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, in
the Glass Pavilion, Homewood campus.
The Office of Benefits Administration in conjunction
with Occupational Health Services is sponsoring the
activities, which include hearing, cholesterol and blood
pressure screenings, seated massage, body fat analysis and
more.

Golf Tournament Volunteers Needed
The Constellation Energy Classic returns to Hayfields
Country Club in Hunt Valley, Sept. 12-18. Johns Hopkins is
recruiting affiliates to volunteer at the event and spend
time alongside such golf legends as Wayne Levi and Peter
Jacobsen.
The first 35 Hopkins employees who volunteer for two
six-hour shifts as hole marshals on hole 17, on behalf of
the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns
Hopkins--one of the beneficiaries of the event--will have
their volunteer fee underwritten by SunTrust Bank. Sign up
before June 1 and pay a registration fee of $65 (after June
1, $75).

Research Coordinator Course
The summer course Fundamentals for the Research Coordinator
provides a comprehensive overview of the core competencies
needed to administer and direct human subject research
projects.
Topics include IRB, recruiting, data management,
informed consent and study administration. Class sessions
are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 22,
to Friday, June 24.
