Kweisi Mfume greets members of JHU's Black History
Month Committee just before his talk last week in
Homewood's Hodson Hall. Mfume, a former U.S. congressman
and CEO of the NAACP, gave a wide-ranging speech that
touched upon racial inequities in Maryland, the state of
the school system, the war in Iraq and the public's
disillusionment with the current Congress.
