Theatre Hopkins will close its
84th season with Tom Stoppard's 'Travesties,' which begins
its two-weekend run in the Mattin Center's Swirnow Theater,
Homewood campus, on Friday, June 16, and runs through
Sunday, June 25. The author of 'Rosencrantz and
Guildenstern Are Dead' has again drawn inspiration from a
masterpiece, Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of Being
Earnest.' In this case, the fast-paced comedy, set in
Zurich in 1917, includes in its cast of characters James
Joyce, Vladimir Lenin and Tristan Tzara, a member of the
Dadaist movement.
