English as a Second Language
The Hopkins Intensive English as a Second Language Program
offers concentrated daily courses in Oral Communication and
Reading/Writing Skills and specialized courses in TOEFL
Prep, American Culture and English for Medical
Professionals. After class, participants take their
language practice outdoors as they join IELP friends at
harbor sails, outdoor films, a picnic and an Orioles
baseball game.
Hopkins IELP, scheduled for July 3 to Aug. 4, is open
to faculty, staff, friends and family. Students can select
the full program of three courses or take one or two
classes as scheduling permits. Registration is open

Parkinson's Disease Support Groups
Parkinson's disease support group meetings are scheduled
for several locations in the upcoming weeks.
The Baltimore City group meets from 7 to 9 p.m. on the
fourth Thursday of every month at the North Point Public
Library, 1716 Merritt Blvd. Summer meetings are scheduled
for June 29, July 20 and Aug. 24.
The Baltimore County group meets the second Thursday
of every month, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Green Spring Station
Pavilion II, 10753 Falls Rd. Upcoming meetings are
scheduled for June 29 and July 13.
The Carroll County group meets the fourth Tuesday of
every month from 2 to 4 p.m. at Westminster Senior Center,
125 Stoner Ave., Westminster, Md. Meetings are scheduled
for June 27 and July 25.
Led by a trained facilitator, these meetings offer
educational seminars followed by time for discussion and
sharing of experiences. For more information, contact Susan

Benefits Administration Relocation
The Office of
Benefits Administration (Benefits Operations Center and
the Benefits Service Center), which were located in the
Wyman Park Building, Homewood campus, and at 2017 E.
Monument St., East Baltimore campus, will relocate this
week to Johns Hopkins at Eastern, suite D100. The offices
will be closed on Thursday, June 15, and reopen in their
new location on Friday, June 16. Walk-in service will still
be provided at 2017 E. Monument. The Benefits Service
Center can be reached at 410-516-2000 and the Benefits
Operations Center at 410-516-8110.
One-on-one benefits sessions that had been offered at
the Wyman Park Building will now be held at Bayview Medical
Center, in room 2B-78 of the Allergy and Asthma Center
Building, 5501 Hopkins Bayview Circle. Sessions will
continue to be offered at 2017 E. Monument St.
JHU shuttle service is provided between the Homewood,
Eastern and East Baltimore campuses; the schedules are
available online. Parking is available on the lower lot at
Eastern. Paid parking is available at Bayview.
