In a long-standing Johns Hopkins tradition, faculty and staff on the Homewood campus slip away from their desks and computers on a December morning each year to partake of some holiday festivities.

The always-anticipated Gathering of the Greens, organized by Plant Operations, allows the campus's seasonally trimmed branches to be put to timely holiday use by employees.

The crowds gathered this year on Dec. 8 on Levering Plaza, where they found not only lots of boughs but cider and doughnuts, too.
