More than 250 employees from the Homewood schools and administration, the Peabody Institute and JHPIEGO gathered recently in Homewood's Glass Pavilion to mingle, munch on hors d'oeuvres and be feted with awards recognizing milestone anniversaries of their years of service. On hand to provide words of praise and encouragement were James McGill, senior vice president for finance and administration; Charlene Hayes, vice president for human resources; and Patricia Day, senior director of employee and labor relations.

The May 16 recognition event, the first of seven taking place across Johns Hopkins campuses this spring, honored the loyalty and contributions of 57 staff members with 15 years of service, 89 with 10 years of service and 227 with five years of service.
