GSA Volunteer Opportunity
The Graduate Student Association of the School of Medicine
is seeking volunteers to sort and pack food at the Maryland
Food Bank, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Feb. 10.
The Maryland Food Bank is located at 2200 Halethorpe Farms

SoM Disaster-Related Education and
Training
The Office of Emergency Management, directed by Howard
Gwon, will begin its educational sessions for 2007 in March
and will continue its sessions through October for
departmental disaster coordinators and their respective
management team members.
These sessions, scheduled to take place monthly in
1-191 Meyer, will include updates on existing policies and
also introduce new policies and procedures to enhance
Hopkins' response to disasters and major crises on the East
Baltimore campus. The primary focus is to make each of the
sessions interactive and applicable to disaster
coordinators, managers and supervisors.

Parkinson's Support Groups
The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center is
sponsoring two support groups.
The Young Onset/Deep Brain Stimulation Parkinson's
Disease Education and Support Group meets every other month
on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 2140 at the
Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center, 601 N. Caroline St.
Upcoming meetings are scheduled for Feb. 10 and April
14.
The Howard County Parkinson's Disease Education and
Support Group meets the third Monday of every month, at 7
p.m. at the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center of
Maryland, 8180 Lark Brown Rd., Elkridge, Md. Upcoming
meetings are scheduled for Feb. 19 and March 19.
