Back-to-School Supply Drive

BFSA Outreach Committee is collecting new school supplies, book bags and lunchboxes for its annual back-to-school supply drive. The drive will end on Friday, Aug. 17.

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations: East Baltimore (2017 E. Monument St., E6150 SPH; 127 SoN); Homewood (171 Krieger and 617N Wyman Park); and APL (MP4-W104). If your location is not listed and you would like to host a box or if you have additional questions, contact Lori Hackett, [email protected] or Boni McKeemer, [email protected].

 

Pharmacy Fund-raiser

The annual fund-raiser to benefit the Michael Del Bianco Pharmacy Fund for the Johns Hopkins AIDS Service will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Melba's, 3126 Greenmount Ave. The fund assists AIDS patients by helping with the costs of prescription medications.

This year's event will honor two couples, Connie and Frank Del Bianco and Sylvia and Stanford Schneider, with the Dorothy Coley Award for Service Excellence in AIDS. Tickets are $10; light fare will be provided and a cash bar.
