Theatre Hopkins will open its
2007 season on Friday, Feb. 16, with Talley's Folly
by Lanford Wilson.
Wilson's 1980 Pulitzer Prize-winning play takes place
on July 4, 1944, as Matt Friedman travels from St. Louis to
Lebanon, Mo., to propose to Sally Talley, the
independent-minded daughter of a socially prominent family.
The two-person cast pairs Mick Simon, who appeared in
Theatre Hopkins' production of Travesties, and Stephanie
McLaughlin Ranno, making her Theatre Hopkins debut.
The production will run only two weekends, through
Sunday, Feb. 25, at the Swirnow Theater in the Mattin Arts
Center on the Homewood campus. Curtain time is 8 p.m. for
Friday and Saturday performances, 2 p.m. for Sunday
matinees. Tickets are $15, with student rush tickets
available for $5 at curtain time, if space allows. For
reservations or information, contact Theatre Hopkins at
410-516-7159 or

Later in the season, Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi
Chronicles will run for three weekends, opening June
15.
