with a penchant for field trips and a political scientist
who just loves to hear his students talk are just a
sampling of the outstanding Johns Hopkins faculty whose
teaching talents have been recognized with a prestigious

Commencement ceremonies to put cap on 131st academic
year
Last Friday, nearly 350 finals-weary School of Public
Health students, and an assortment of the school's faculty,
packed the Mansion House at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
for a night of cocktails, food and dancing. On Saturday, a
similar number of Engineering and Arts and Sciences seniors
came finely dressed to a five-star Cupcakes and Champagne
Social in Homewood's Decker Garden.

Eighteen from JHU to study abroad as Fulbright and DAAD
scholars
Eighteen students from the schools of Arts and
Sciences, Engineering and Public Health; Peabody; and SAIS
have been awarded the opportunity to study abroad during
the 2007-2008 academic year, thanks to two prestigious
awards administered by the Institute of International
Education.
