Nursing Honors Its Own
An intimate and supportive group of School of
Nursing faculty and staff gathered on
June 12 in the Carpenter Room to offer praise for and
present awards to employees passing
milestone anniversaries of five, 10 and 15 years of
service.
Dean Martha Hill oversaw a program that included
complimentary comments from
supervisors and colleagues for Ann Jewer of Academic
Programs, who has been with the
university for 15 years, and 12 other staff, six each in
the five- and 10-year categories. Staff
who celebrated 20 or more anniversaries were presented
with awards and flowers as well.
Honorees this year were able to choose from a
variety of service awards, courtesy of
the
Office of Faculty, Staff and Retiree Programs, which
coordinates the annual series of
staff recognition receptions. Among the most popular
awards chosen at Nursing was a sterling
silver citrine ring.
