About 500 people attended a housing exposition last week on the East Baltimore campus, an event aimed at calling attention to a greatly expanded Live Near Your Work grant program being offered to benefits-eligible Johns Hopkins employees. The program provides financial assistance — up to $17,000 — to eligible employees who purchase a home in designated Baltimore City neighborhoods near the Homewood, East Baltimore, Bayview and Peabody campuses. At the event, employees visited exhibits and information tables to learn more about the grant program and related community services and activities.
