Tri-School Day of Service
As part of National Volunteers Week, SOURCE, the Student
Outreach
Research Center, is sponsoring a spring Tri-School Day of
Service. Students from the schools of
Medicine, Nursing and Public Health, as well as faculty and
staff, can register now to participate.

Toiletry Items Drive
Volunteers are needed to host drop boxes for the next
Women's
Network community outreach campaign. The organization will
be collecting personal toiletry items such
as shampoo, soap and toothpaste for local shelters.

Raj and Neera Singh Undergraduate Summer Research
Fellowships
The Institute for Computational
Medicine, affiliated with both the Whiting School of
Engineering and the School of Medicine, will
sponsor competitive noncredit summer research fellowships
for undergraduates in the Whiting School
of Engineering. Applicants should be rising juniors or
seniors. Fellowships will run from June 2 to Aug.
15, with a stipend of $5,000. The application deadline is

Short Course at MWCC
Scheduled for August 18-22 at the Mount Washington
Conference Center,
the Integrative Computational Modeling of the Cardiac
Myocyte short course is limited to 17
participants. Students will be selected on the strength of
their current research activities. Interest,
and degree of benefit from taking this course, will also be
considered. The target audience is
experimental biomedical researchers and
clinician-scientists with a strong interest in
understanding
the process of developing, implementing and applying
mathematical biological system models.
Programming experience is recommended.
The deadline to apply is June 1. Allow three weeks
from the application deadline for
notification. Lodging and meals are provided free of cost
to accepted applicants. Students are
responsible for transportation, and should also plan on
