Summer Fun for the Johns Hopkins Community
Johns Hopkins community members can enjoy summer
activities, from amusement parks and
baseball games to the zoo, at discounted rates, thanks to
the Office of Faculty,
Staff and Retiree Programs.
Upcoming events include the annual Johns Hopkins
picnic on Friday, June 20 — marking the
official start of summer — from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on the
grounds of Johns Hopkins at Eastern. The next
month brings Hopkins Weekend at Six Flags America in
Maryland, July 11 to 13, when discounted
tickets, parking and food vouchers are available.
Tickets are still on sale for two night baseball games
in August: Elvis Night with the Aberdeen
IronBirds at Ripken Stadium on Friday, Aug. 1, and Hopkins
Night at Camden Yards on Saturday, Aug.
23, when the Orioles take on the Yankees.
Online discounted tickets for Kings Dominion, Six
Flags America in Maryland and Six Flags
Great Adventure in New Jersey have been added to the FSRP
roster of special offers to area
attractions, which include Caesar's Pocono Resorts, Hershey
Park, the B & O Railroad Museum and the
Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Savings are also available for
Anheuser-Busch theme parks, Universal
Studios, the 2008-2009 season at the Hippodrome Theatre and
more. For a listing of all special
