Phi Beta Kappa Elects 120 From Across University
Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most prestigious
undergraduate honors organization, has this year elected 120
Hopkins students. To gain election students must have excelled in
a broad array of undergraduate courses in the arts and sciences
offered at one of 249 colleges and universities in the United
States that are sufficiently rigorous and intellectually
challenging to shelter a Phi Beta Kappa chapter, which was
founded at the College of William and Mary in 1776. The Hopkins
chapter was founded in 1895.
