Summer Program Offered in Tropical Medicine The departments of International Health and Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the School of Public Health will offer a new eight-week program, the Summer Institute in Tropical Medicine and Public Health, from July 10 to Sept. 1. The course can be taken for academic credit or CME. The program is designed to provide training in tropical medicine and related health issues. Through a multidisciplinary approach to disease, it focuses on the examination of specific tropical diseases and detailed case studies to stress diagnosis, treatment and the implementation of preventive and control measures. The course will also discuss the importance of human behavior associated with the transmission of infection and of local perceptions of disease.
