Security Alert

     The security office at the Medical Institutions has received
several complaints about a woman who solicits money and
transportation from people on the street after identifying
herself as a Hopkins employee. 

     In each incident, the woman--described as a black female in
her late 40s and of medium height and build--told victims she was
having car trouble and needed a ride or money to get home. The
woman, who has used the names Beverly Thomas, Denise Shaw and
Marguerite Davis, gave a telephone number in Dean Michael E.
John's office, so her victims could reach her the next day for
