Children from the Lafayette Square Day Care Center will join
the Bay Street Brass Works on the steps of Shriver Hall at 10
a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, as the Homewood campus officially
kicks off the 1997 Hopkins United Way campaign.The same children will join volunteers and musicians for East Baltimore's traditional roving kickoff, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Sept. 26. The university's 1997 combined campaign goal is $1.48 million.
