Happy Holidays
|

It's time to pull out your December calendar and sprinkle it
with Hopkins traditions. Here's where to start:
Dec. 3.
Make a wreath in the Glass Pavilion on the Homewood
campus. Bring clippers, wire cutters and gloves; materials,
instructions and refreshments are included in the $15 fee. The
one-hour workshops are at noon and 1 p.m. For reservations, call

Dec. 5.
Settle in for an evening of music at Evergreen's
Carriage House, 4545 N. Charles St. CELLO, a quartet of female
cellists, will perform a repertoire ranging from original
contemporary works to well-known classical and jazz pieces. The
$10 admission to the 8 p.m. concert includes a reception with the

Dec. 7.
Stroll through Evergreen House. The Italianate
mansion offers holiday decorations, music, entertainment, tours,
refreshments and shopping from 1 to 4 p.m. $6 for adults, $5 for

Dec. 11.
Homewood House, decked out for the holidays in
19th-century style, is the place to be from 5 to 8 p.m. Take a
candlelight tour, enjoy period music, sample holiday refreshments

Dec. 14 and
15. Peabody Prep students and soloists from the
American Ballet Theater dance The Snow Queen, an original ballet
with new fantasy sets. The ballet, based on the Hans Christian
Andersen tale, is at 3 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at
Friedberg Hall. $8 for adults; $4 for children, students, and
