Patricia Ireland Speaks at Hopkins
|
|
"SOCIAL MOVEMENTS HAVE ALWAYS challenged
the notion of who we are," NOW president Patricia Ireland told
the crowd at her Sept. 28 MSE Symposium lecture. "There is always
a price to be paid for those who step out beyond the boundaries
of [national] identity, before the culture is ready for them. But
without those people, there would be no change."
