Speaking of links, Matthew Burtner's own homepage, http://www.peabody.jhu.edu/~mburtner/, has a list of links to a slew of ites for those who want more information on computer music and ontemporary composing. His page also includes a short bio and an xtensive listing of his compositions.

Among the many contemporary composition sites, take a look at the Center for Promotion of Contemporary Composers. This looks like an excellent resource for omposers, with updates on faculty job openings, grants, new music ontests, and a catalog of works by the Center's members.

Finally, go to the Center for Research in Electronic Art Technology if for no other reason than to view the animated dancing baby that graces the opening page. You'll have time to fetch a cup of coffee while it downloads (actually, you'll have time to grow, roast, and grind the beans), but the animation is the funniest thing we've seen on the Net in months.
