Anne Garside (pictured at right), text author of Camelot at Dawn: Jacqueline and John Kennedy in Georgetown, May 1954, will discuss the book and show photographs from it at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Shriver Hall on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.

This talk is based on the Johns Hopkins University Press book of photographs taken by Orlando Suero, which will be available for sale and signing. Camelot at Dawn contains more than 90 photographs, most of them never before published, with Garside's accompanying text. Garside will tell stories about this unique collection, which was donated in 1989 to the Archives of the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University by Max G. Lowenherz, owner of Three Lions Picture Agency, where Orlando Suero was a staff photographer.

The book allows an intimate look at such scenes as John and Jacqueline Kennedy in their first home and Jack in his Senate office, painting in the backyard and tossing a football with Bobby and Ethel. Jackie is shown attending Georgetown University classes, lighting candles for her first formal dinner party, and looking with Jack at their wedding photos.

This lecture is part of the Wednesday Noon Series presented by the Johns Hopkins University Office of Special Events, now in its 36th season of cultural programming on the Homewood campus.
