Theatre Hopkins will open its 2008 season on Friday, Feb. 22, with Rebecca Gilman*s "Spinning Into Butter" at the Swirnow Theater on the Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus.
Set at a small liberal arts college in Vermont, Gilman*s drama focuses Sarah Daniels, a young dean of students who is forced to deal with a series of racist notes reported by one of the college*s few African American students.
Led by Lisa Hodsoll, the cast includes Dianne Hood, Chris Krysztofiak, Jay Lyston, Michael O*Connell, Todd Pearthree and Michael Zimarel.
The production will run at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays through March 2 at the Swirnow Theater, located in the Mattin Arts Center on the Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles Street in Baltimore.
